Ocean Academy welcomes you!
We invite and encourage our new students to join us for free Online Distance Learning sessions for Math and English starting Thursday (May 21st) and running for three weeks.
When will classes take place? On Thursdays from May 21st to June 18th
What time will classes be? 1:50 to 2:50 pm, and 3 to 4 pm
***Note that the schedule on Thursday, May 21st will be a bit different. One session will be an introduction to the Google Classroom. The other session will be the Virtual Art Club Workshop.
Will it be online? Yes. If you do not have access to a device or WIFI, please let us know and we will see what options we can find to help.
What is the purpose of the classes? Students will get experience using the Google Classroom while reviewing Math and English skills. This allows teachers to assess students’ strengths and growth areas to know how we can best support you during summer school (from August 3rd to 7th) to enter high school strong!
Am I required to attend classes now? We encourage all students to attend and we believe you will enjoy your time! You are not required to attend these classes. If you do not attend, we will schedule an English and Math assessment for you.
